We are today’s women, who love her freedom, passionate about her work & don’t compromise with her family responsibility. Then why those 5 days stop us too…..
For a year, we have used reusable/disposable pads but now it’s time to break this tradition & switch to menstrual cups. Yes!!! New generation blood collecting cups, which are made up of silicon or rubber, designed for use inside the vagina during your period.
A few months back I had a wish to try out menstrual cups but like every normal person, I had so much confusion. So plan to have research & know about its benefits, usage & which brand I should select.
Benefits of using menstrual cups:-
*Lower costs and less landfill waste.
*Less embarrassing odor.
*Vaginal pH and beneficial bacteria stay in place.
*Fewer visits to the pharmacy.
*More time between changes.
*Intercourse is possible with the cup in place.
*Easy to use.
After knowing about the above mention benefits, one last confusion left in my mind was…..
How menstrual cups are a better option than tampons?
Tampons absorb all your vaginal fluid along with the blood, which may disturb the delicate pH and bacterial balance in your vagina. But menstrual cup collect only the period blood.
Now I am totally ready to try it out, so I brought Everteen® Menstrual Cup for me because Everteen offers India’s largest range of premium sanitary essentials for complete feminine hygiene.
Why Everteen Menstrual Cup?
-It is highly comfortable to wear and gives you the freedom to perform all your favorite sports and outdoor activities such as yoga, dancing, swimming, and more.
-It is made of medical-grade silicone.
-The everteen® Menstrual Cup is soft, easy, 100% safe to use, and does not cause skin irritation.
-The cup is reusable for up to 10 years.
-It prevents menstrual odor and does not cause dryness, discomfort, itching, or rashes.
-It requires lesser need to remove and reinsert compared to changing sanitary pads.
-Reduces cramps by creating a suction of the seal, and saves you from the risk of flooding or period disasters while sneezing.
How to use it?
You may require a few attempts to insert if you are using it for the first time. I suggest you not to attempt to insert the menstrual cup during non- period days. Follow these simple 8 steps to insert the menstrual cup. 1) Wash your hands properly. 2) Wash your menstrual cup & rinse it thoroughly before using it. 3) Sterilize it in hot water. 4) Wash the exterior of your vaginal area. 5) Sit in a relaxed squatting position… not to tense your pelvic muscles. 6) Fold menstrual cup by punching down the opening of the cup & hold it with one hand with the open mouth-end facing the vaginal opening & with your other hand find the vaginal opening. 7) Push the cup in about 45-degree angles towards your pubic bone. 8) Release the cup such that the fold of the cup pops open fully & push the cup until it is comfortable.
Caution:- The large cup can hold up to 30ml of fluid and is recommended for normal-to-heavy flow to give you leak-proof protection for up to 12 hours during periods. If you have a light-to-normal flow, please search for the everteen® Menstrual Cup (Small) which can hold up to 23ml of fluid. Never wash intimate areas with soap, shampoo, or chemical-based products to prevent infections or a pH imbalance.
MRP (INR):- 435 Rs
